Buttercup primary school celebrates international week this week.
This week our pupils dressed up in clothes from different countries and held an international food fair. A school which is home to 13 different languages.
Throughout the week special workshops and classes were held and children learnt about the diversity of the whole world.
They learned about different culinary traditions around the world, adopted them and then brought their dishes around the school to teach others and give them the opportunity to taste.
The pupils also learned about different artists and painted pictures in each style they also took part in making their own African tie dyed patterned material which were then put on display.
The whole school was divided into the following:
Early years – South America KS1 -South East Asia Lower KS2 – East Asia Upper KS2- Africa
